On inspection of the crankshaft of Allen Engine by our technicians, it was observed to be a case of bearing failure the crank pin no 1,2 & 6 were found to be badly damaged with ovality up to 0.42 mm maximum.

RA Power Solutions technicians inspected the crankpins including checking of taper, ovality, hardness & crack detection test etc. Apart from ovality deep bearing line marks were also observed on crank pins. The on-site grinding was undertaken by our technicians. Crankpin no. 2 was ground to the undersize by 1.0 mm, and crankpins 1 & 6 were undersized by 0.5 mm. The remaining crank pins nos 3,4 and 5 were polished.
