<h2><strong><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;">Main observations of MAN B&amp;W 7L32/40 Crankshaft Damage</span></strong></h2>
<ol>
<li><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">On boarding the vessel at Boston Port, USA, our technicians inspected the damaged crankshaft.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">To their surprise all the seven crankpins had deep bearing line marks, rough surface on checking of dimensions, and ovality ranging from 0.20MM to 0.26 MM was observed which is considered to be on the higher side. In case of three crankpins journal radius fillet profile of both side was damaged.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">All the seven <strong>crankpins of MAN B&amp;W 7L32/40</strong> were subject to MPI for crack detection, No crack and abnormality was observed.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Hardness was checked and observed within limits as stipulated in the manual of MAN.</span></li>
